Welcome to AppLock Pro, developed by Apps Haven ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and giving you complete control over your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how the app functions, what permissions it requires, and how your data is handled.

Key Principle: AppLock Pro is built on a Privacy-First Architecture. All locking mechanisms, biometric verification, photo/file encryption, and intruder selfies are processed and stored 100% locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or store your personal data on external servers.

2. Paid Application

AppLock Pro is a paid application available on the Google Play Store for a one-time price of $9.99, which unlocks full, unrestricted access to the app for life — with no subscriptions, no recurring charges, and no in-app purchases. Payment is required through Google Play before the app can be downloaded and installed on your device. Your purchase is processed entirely by Google Play Billing; we do not collect, access, or store any payment information such as card numbers or billing addresses. Purchase history and receipts are managed solely by your Google Play account.

3. Information We Collect and Process

AppLock Pro processes only the minimal data strictly necessary to provide device security features:

• Security Credentials (PIN, Pattern, Password, Knock Code): Stored locally on your device in secure, encrypted storage. Never uploaded to any server or shared with third parties.
• Biometric Data (Fingerprint & Face Unlock): Handled exclusively through the official Android BiometricPrompt framework and hardware security module (Secure Enclave / TrustZone). The app never accesses, sees, or stores your raw biometric data.
• Intruder Selfies & Logs: Front-camera snapshots taken when unauthorized entry attempts occur are saved solely in the app's private local directory. You have complete control to view, share, save to gallery, or delete these photos at any time.
• Secret Vault (Photos, Videos & Files): Media and files added to the Secret Vault are encrypted and stored locally in private application storage. No vault contents leave your device.
• Lock Screen Wallpapers: AppLock Pro includes a built-in collection of AI-generated wallpaper images bundled with the app for personalizing your lock screen. These images are pre-generated assets shipped as part of the app package — they are not created using your personal data, photos, or camera, and selecting one is handled entirely on-device.

4. Permissions Used & Why We Need Them

To deliver comprehensive device protection while complying strictly with Google Play Developer Policies, AppLock Pro requests the following permissions:

• Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): Required to detect which app is currently open in the foreground so AppLock Pro can display the lock screen over protected apps. We do not track, log, or transmit your overall app browsing habits.
• Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Required to draw the secure lock screen overlay immediately when a locked app is launched.
• Camera (android.permission.CAMERA) — Optional: Used solely for the Intruder Selfie feature to snap a photo when wrong credentials are entered.
• Biometric (USE_BIOMETRIC) — Optional: Enables fast unlocking via your device's native fingerprint or face recognition sensor.
• Media & Storage (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Used strictly for importing and exporting files to and from the Secret Vault upon your request, and for letting you set your own gallery photo as a lock screen wallpaper.
• Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): Keeps background protection active and reliable without system termination.
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Shows required ongoing protection status and provides re-entry shortcuts when disguise mode is active.
• Run at Startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): Automatically reactivates app protection immediately after the device restarts.
• Device Administrator (BIND_DEVICE_ADMIN) — Optional: Enables "Prevent Uninstall" to protect the app from unauthorized removal. Can be deactivated anytime inside the app settings.

5. Disguise Mode & Hide App Icon

AppLock Pro offers optional disguise features, including decoy icons (Calculator, Notes, Calendar, etc.) and hiding the launcher icon. A secret dialer code (e.g. *#*#code#*#*), desktop widget, and persistent notification are provided as guaranteed re-entry methods. This feature operates locally using Android activity alias configurations and does not collect any user activity.

6. Third-Party Services & Analytics

• As a fully paid, upfront-purchase app, AppLock Pro contains no advertisements, no in-app purchases, and no intrusive third-party data tracking or behavioral analytics.
• Standard crash-reporting or Google Play Store services provided natively by Google Play Services may collect anonymized system diagnostics to improve stability.
• Google Play Billing is used exclusively to process your one-time $9.99 app purchase prior to installation.
• The built-in AI-generated wallpaper collection is bundled directly inside the app package. Browsing or applying these wallpapers does not involve any network request, third-party image service, or transmission of your data.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally:

• Deleting an intruder snapshot or clearing recent activity immediately purges that data from the device.
• Uninstalling the app removes all associated app settings, logs, and local caches (be sure to unlock or export any vaulted files before uninstalling).

8. Children's Privacy

AppLock Pro does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. The app is a utility tool designed for general audience device security.
